These little pink boots are her footwear of choice these days. I need to ask her why she loves them so much… They were second hand when they came to us, and looking closer last night they have all the signs of wear that you would want in a nice worn in pair of boots. The leather could use a rub of oil and the tips might be just a bit dull, but honestly no one can deny that they are PINK. Today she paired this with her new jeans, top and a scarf made for her when she was a baby. Yesterday she paired these with her grey leggings / skirt, sparkle pink top and a sweater. Somehow they seem to work with everything. She even wore them with a dress to a new years party a couple of weeks ago.
I rarely get too involved with what Rebecca chooses to wear. Sometimes, like today, she asks me to help her develop some outfit choices – but even then she is her own person and replaced everything I suggested but the jeans with her own selections. She even is the creative force behind styling her own hair. Todays choice was two tiny braids – one on either side of her middle part, along with a clip at the top of one braid. Perhaps not the best look - but it was so her and made her happy.
I love that she has an opinion and that opinion is part of what makes her the special girl that we love.
