I am excited to start this new year of 2015.  What story can we tell together?  I am already in love with the story these two are creating for themselves this year and look forward to growing right along with them as we continue our expat life here in Wassenaar and as we explore The Netherlands.

2015 Story Start

Less than a kilometer from our front door is an amazing set of trails and bike paths that connect Wassenaar to Den Haag via a series of estates and parks.  One of the closest is the incredibly beautiful Estate Baskershagen.  In that estate there is a tea house and a the ruins of a small hermitage.  The ruins are covered by a mossy hill and surrounded by canals and an old growth forrest.  We are just scratching the surface here, but this park or Landgoed Backershagen is something special.

Beccs and Ben love to ride their bikes to this special spot and this time they pretended that they were spies.  Sorry to anyone else that was at the park at the same time, but you were being watched!

I said a little bit of Texas, actually this family is Texas through and through. Not to start any rivalries, but their adorable dog has the same name as a very famous Texas based school mascot and everyone sported great cowboy boots!

I loved how were were able to capture a bit of their life here in the Netherlands at their home in Wassenaar. They had a gorgeous “Dutch” door which became part of my favorite image from the day of the kids in black and white below.

I loved helping this family capture a bit of their Expat experience and I can’t wait to do more of these portraiture sessions here in Wassenaar.  Drop me a line at info@kristinenoel.com if you would like to create a family photography session of your own!

I am always amazed with how many beautiful settings there are here so close to our new home in Wassenaar. The kids love riding their bikes and exploring these new places – maybe as much as I do.

Just down the street is this amazing field of gorgeous grass, flowing waters ducks, and all kinds of wildlife. But the best part are these dusty colored grey and golden wild horses. They are wild I guess. No one rides them and there isn’t a grooming brush anywhere near these animals. But they are not too wild to be curious enough to see if the kids have a bit of apple or carrot in their pockets. Rebecca and Ben are so enamored with these creatures. They were so excited to share this special place with their dad. I think you can see the joy of this place in the below images.

I am looking for a family to photograph here. The scenery is just stunning even without the horses… Email me if you want to create an amazing Wassenaar family lifestyle portrait session. I have so many ideas and this would be such treasure for family to help them document their experience as a family and their life here in The Netherlands.

There is so much to see and appreciate here.  I love taking walks with the kids and looking for tiny details that remind me of the season and the natural beauty we are surrounded here in Wassenaar.  These little plants are in the most perfect field full of wild horses and gorgeous long grasses and is located just on the edge of the dunes.  So, so pretty!  I really want to work with a family and do a lifestyle family session in this special place.  Want to join me.  Email me at info@kristinenoel.com and lets plan a perfect sesssion!

P.S. I plan on hosting a mini-session family portrait session at this weekend at this field. I still have a couple spots left so just another reason to send me an email!
